Recently while sharing a snippet of a recent communication with a dog on Facebook, someone commented that they could understand how an animal may be able to relay information such as fresh paint, but they were having difficulty understanding how an animal could relay a message that included something such as the name of a street, town etc. After answering the question to some extent, I realized that I should share my response (in greater detail) and with more than just those who I know on Facebook.

Essentially everything that the spirit of someone’s loved one on the other side is capable of doing regarding communication on a telepathic level is possible with living animals. Just as no two of us are the same in our communication skills and abilities, the same is true of spirits of humans and animals as well as living animals. I would also like to add that to me, all spirits are alive and referring to someone as dead is kind of silly. It’s like I am chatting with you on your cell phone while driving and then you step outside of your vehicle, you are the same and you sound the same .. you are just not inside your vehicle anymore. When I connect with spirit or living animals, it’s the same. Frankly, most of the time when I connect with an animal I have to ask if they are passed or living as it is not always clear right away.

Not all animal communicators are the same and some may be a bit more restricted in what they receive as they may not have abilities at quite the same level as others or may have stronger abilities in other areas. I will speak for myself here and no one else, though many will share all of these abilities at some level. Just like anything else, the more we use our abilities, the stronger they become and the more efficient one is at utilizing them.

Animals too vary in their ability to communicate telepathically with us and frequently the more practice they have with us, the easier it may be to connect, should they feel so inclined. Now … on to the good stuff, how information comes in from telepathic communications with animals, both living and or deceased.

How I communicate with animals both living and passed.

The vast majority of the communications I have with animals are while chatting over the phone with their person. I have no prior information concerning the animal, often times I do not even know the species I will be connecting with … all I want is a name.

Rumpelstiltskin Crane 1886 Illustration

To me, names are like addresses and (perhaps Rumpelstiltskin was on to something) even though I frequently connect through intent alone and do not even need a name, a name gives me something tangible to use to connect with them. I do not ask for a photo and find that they hamper my abilities, a photo or description removes one of the strongest ways to confirm a connection with the animal, what they look like. I understand that many animal communicators will ask for a photo to connect, but … if you are truly communicating with that animal, you should be able to describe the animal back to the “owner” without any help.

After receiving the animals name I will telepathically request that the animal with the name I was given and who is connected to the person that I am speaking with to please connect with me and describe themselves to me. Many times the animal is already connecting with me, I may have seen them in the minutes leading up to the reading or even days prior or perhaps just a few seconds earlier as they will have been following our conversation and waiting for their cue. Remember that communication is a two way street and if you are discussing a issue that is sensitive to the animal, they may not want to talk. When an animal does not want to talk I can employ the “burning ears” technique” which is where we discuss the offending behavior (usually) and at some point the animal may feel that they have to “butt in” so that they may present their side of the story. After a connection is made, the issues can be brought out and put on the “table” so that both parties may air their grievances and a compromise or some other type of resolution can be obtained if not at least a basic understanding of what is going on.

When I ask for an animal to connect with me, I may see another animal than the one that you want to connect with. Just this morning while doing a reading I was asked to connect with an animal named Kelley, (not her real name) and in the process of connecting with her a different animal came through. The first thing I “saw” in my minds eye, was a larger black dog with a bit of a thicker coat. As I described the animal to the person I was doing the reading for, they said that I did not have Kelley. After a few seconds, and after completing the description of the animal, the person told me that was a dog from her childhood. This dog felt that it was important to remind the woman that he was still a part of her life and that even though he had passed physically, that he was still there in spirit.

I asked the person what the dogs name from her childhood so that I could verify that this indeed was the dog coming through and immediately it was confirmed by him. After chatting with “Ralph” for a few minutes, I went back to connecting with Kelley. This time I “saw” Kelley coming through as the dog that I described next was indeed her. The vast majority of the conversation was in images as well as emotions. At a few points I teared up as touching details were brought through and memories were divulged. Kelley had to be put to sleep and the “owner” had been torn up about it, she wanted to know that she had done the right thing and at the right time. At one point during the “conversation” I simply heard the name of a dog breed and asked why it was that I was hearing the name of this breed, which I knew looked nothing like the dog I was chatting with and the woman confirmed that she had recently added two of that breed to her household shortly after the passing of Kelley. Kelley even went so far as to describe the color of the bedspread on her bed and to inform her that she now hung out on her pillow from time to time, in spirit.

When communicating with animals, they are able to relay information through physical sensations and feelings, such as feeling a broken neck, (yes I will feel like my neck was broken) or if they had been scared, feeling the adrenaline flowing through their body. Animals can also use taste and smell as information, I can actually taste what dog food etc., tastes like to them and in some cases this can be a bad thing for me. I now know what a live mouse tastes like compared to one that has been frozen and then thawed in a microwave, trust me the live mouse is delicious in comparison, according to the barn owl I was speaking with.

Emotions are used in pretty much every animal communication session … I will feel intense love, anger, fear etc., depending upon what the animal is relaying to me. When I tear up during a session, it is not my emotions. I will tell you that honestly I have had several animals pass that I was close to and with the exception of the first one, I have never shed a tear about their passing. I also had a friend who passed recently and I am yet to shed a tear at her passing … nor do I expect to as I communicate with her regularly and see the big picture, so when I tear up during readings it is invariably the emotions of the one I am channeling or communicating with as opposed to my own emotions.

Dog and Cat

Animals are able to live vicariously through us and as such they have a wealth of information about us, what we do for a living … what we think about when we are bored, our dirty little secrets … and our hopes, dreams and ambitions. Animals are often aware of such details as their home address, the proper spelling of their name, names of nearby towns, cities and streets as well as parks of course. Most of the time they will simply show me pictures, but sometimes I will simply “hear” the words or even “see” them spelled out in an image. Recently I had a dog that told me that he was off of a street named Paint. When I connected with the dog (who was missing) he showed me who was with him when he went missing and he described the physical surroundings such as the road, the surface not be paved, a long fence line, out in the country etc., then when I asked him where he was now, he sent the smell of fresh paint to me. I tried to figure out what had been painted recently and in what color, but was not able to get that information from him. Once again I was shown the smell of fresh paint again, it then dawned on me that this was not a reference to actual paint, but to something else. Later while looking at a map of the area he went missing in, I was pleasantly surprised to see that less than a mile away from where he went missing there was a road by the name of Paint! Sometimes the information is a clue and not to be taken literally.

With animals that are no longer physically present, there is one means of communication left and that is direct channeling/merging. Imagine if you will that your spirit is like the driver of a car and that the body is like your car. Just as you can scoot out of the drivers seat and allow someone else to drive your car, in some cases spirits of those who have passed will merge with me so that I may channel them directly. When this happens I will frequently take on their physical traits and will move like them, act like them and even sound like them. I do not permit this to take place very often, most recently it happened during a group reading where all of a sudden I began to shake as if I had Parkinson’s, the father of the woman I was reading for at the moment had Parkinson’s and had chosen a dramatic way to make his presence known, trust me it worked very well.

Not too long ago I was watching a nature show on PBS and it occurred to me that I appreciated most animals but had a bit of a problem with snakes. Now I have never been bitten by a snake but sadly in my past I had an aversion to them that was very strong … to the point that I may have ended some snake lives prematurely. So … I was watching this show and they began discussing snakes and they showed footage of thousands of them coming out of hibernation. As I watched it I thought to myself, great … with my luck I am going to channel a snake, I have channeled other animals directly before, but not a snake.

Later that evening I was sitting on the couch with my wife when I noticed the spirit of an animal in our living room. It was very low to the ground and at first I thought that it might be a lizard or something similar as it appeared to have these tiny arms and legs. I could see the ethereal form of the spirit and it was about four feet in front of me, all of a sudden it ran straight towards me and entered my chest.

I slumped forward for a second as I transfered the controls to the snakes spirit and within seconds I noticed a change. I felt as though I had a snakes body, I still felt as though I had arms

and legs, but now they were at my sides and if I flexed one arm or the other I would move side to side. I also noticed that my movements were different … I wasn’t walking around, but simply turning my head felt different. The biggest change though was my vision, I could see both regular images as well as infrared images. When looking at my wife it was a bit odd to see her heat signature and when I looked at my rabbit, he began to look pretty tasty. Then I felt the weirdest/coolest sensation and that was opening my mouth and feeling as if fangs that had been folded up were dropping down and into place. I am not sure what type of snake he was, probably a rattlesnake, I never did remember to ask him. According to my wife I did the tongue flickering thing, I don’t even remember that. The end result was that after a few minutes he left and I found a new respect and admiration for snakes. One of the things he left me with was the fact that they are far more frightened of us than we should be of them and I had to agree with him. In addition I had to respect their their role in the circle of life and in controlling rodent populations.

Hopefully I did not freak any of you out to badly with the snake story … it really is incredible what is possible if we simply look past what we think we know and accept that there may be more to life than that which we are aware of on the surface.

In summary, animals communicate in a vast number of ways on a telepathic level and the wealth of information that can be received is incredible. A good animal communicator (pet psychic) should be able to communicate with all species, should not require a photograph or a description and should be able to provide accurate and detailed information such as ages, dates, physical descriptions, descriptions of surroundings, favorite activities, locations and much more.

Next time I will write more in depth on the subject and a little bit about how you too can communicate with your animals telepathically. To learn more about myself and what I do, visit www.charlespeden.com.

Recently I was enjoying some down time and found myself online playing a game called “Farm Town”. Farm Town is a game that you can find on Facebook. The game is pretty simple, you start out with a small plot of virtual land and plant some crops. At first you are limited in what you can plant as you ascend levels (by earning experience points) you are able to purchase bigger and better plants, buildings, fences, flowers, trees, seeds and animals.

I started playing the game to take a break from “reality” and to have some fun. Very quickly I realized that I could use it as a visualization exercise. That is … as I grew my farm, purchased additional land and added out buildings, landscaping and so forth .. that this could represent what I would someday like to own – perhaps a vineyard. One of the ways of earning “money” in the game, is through “working” other peoples farms. This involves going to the “Marketplace” and trying to get someone to hire you to harvest and or plow their farm for them. When you harvest you get a fraction of the crops value in payment and when you plow you get experience points and a little bit of coin.

The process of harvesting is pretty simple, it involves taking the mouse and placing your little sickle icon over the little square that represents the crop that you are harvesting, it could be a picture of a roughly three foot by three foot bed of pineapples, carrots, peppers or some other crop. After you click on it, the image is replaced with one of a “harvested field”. During your work at another farm, you may end up clicking on hundreds of these little crop squares in order to harvest and then going back over them again to plow … this time with a different icon (a plow) and changing the image to that of a freshly plowed piece of farmland.

While I was “working” on a strangers farm, I had a gray cat come and see me. I had just finished up with a field of cotton or something like that … perhaps it was blueberries, they all blend together after awhile, harvesting and plowing can become mind numbing work … (even in a virtual world) and this sets my mind off into a meditative state quite quickly. So back to the gray cat … as I am working this farm, I keep getting prodded to say something to the farm owner. So I open up the chat box and ask them if they had any animals.

The farmer replied that she did, and mentioned the ones I could see on her virtual farm. I then told her that I was talking about real life animals, and she said yes, she had some. She then remarked that it was an odd question, and that her password was not any of their names. I told her that I did not care about that, but wanted to know if she had a gray cat. She said no. I then asked her if she had ever had any gray animals and she said that she had a gray cat that had gone missing nine months prior. I asked for the cats name and when she gave it to me, I got an instant confirmation that the animal that was connecting with me was her missing cat.

At that point I went on to describe the cats features in greater detail and provided them an opportunity to obtain some closure. Happily the cat had been adopted by a new family and was content while the person who had lost the cat had gone out soon after and adopted a kitten. Both parties were happy and now they have closure.

The very next day a mule connected with me while I was harvesting at someone else’s farm. She made her presence known to me and after I asked about her, she showed me the red/pink ribbon that was on her halter to help cement that I was connected to her. In this case there was an issue with being ridden by others other than the primary human in this mules life. She also complained that the horses made fun of her because ever time someone got her to ride instead of one of the horses, they would complain that they were on a mule and not a horse. She got tired of being trashed talked and went on strike and refused to be ridden by anyone other than the human that loved her, her “owner”. The mule also mentioned that she missed living with other mules, like the farm that she had lived at previously.

A few days after the two above “random” communications, I was yet again connecting with another “random” animal on some strangers farm that I was harvesting at. (Careful, Farm Town can get addicting!) This time when I gently broached the subject of animal communication with the benign question “If you could talk with your animals, who would you chat with and what would you ask them?” I was met with, “I don’t know.” and not much else. Even after some gentle nudging they could not think of anything to ask … so, should you find yourself suddenly presented the opportunity to actually connect with one of your present or past animal companions at a very detailed level, here are a few suggestions.

One of the first things I will ask after establish a connection with an animal, is “What do you want to say? do you have something you want to start with?” I am not asking the human, but rather the animal, if the animal wants you to lead the conversation or start it, it is helpful to have an idea of what to say. There is nothing worse than simply saying that you have no idea … this implies that you don’t really care about them. Consider the following example.

Ten years previously you met a lovely companion, the two of you moved in with no dating and are nearly joined at the hip for the next decade. Your companion is with you through thick and thin, the good times and the bad. They see a side of you that you will not even allow your other friends to see and when presented with the opportunity to finally be able to have a detailed two way conversation with them – you had nothing to say … it would be devastating.

On to the questions or conversation starters for you favorite animal companion …

1.) How is your health, is there anything I should be aware of? And if so … what can be done to help you with it?

Bear in mind that though I am not a doctor, I can communicate with your animal and ask them if they have any medical issues that need to be addressed. Just like with yourself, you sometimes know exactly what the problem is … (a broken bone) or you may have no idea other than you have a pain in your chest and can’t breathe very well. Animals are similar, and sometimes they will shield us from the “ugly truth” so as to spare us having to see them suffer. In many cases I am able to connect with you animal companion/pet and if nothing else, point you in the direction of the right tests and or procedures to suggest to your licensed and trained veterinarian.

2.) How is your diet? Any special requests?

Many times you will find that your animal is perfectly fine with their food, others are unhappy due to either a miscommunication and misunderstanding or simply not knowing. One of my favorites was in the case of a dog who had a sensitive digestive system. The dog had been offered two homemade foods, neither of which the human “owner” had told us prior to the dog discussing it with us. It started out as a medical/health related question and pretty soon the dog revealed that when offered the brown rice dish that he found it to be unappetizing and frankly disappointing, in fact he barely touched it. Other the other hand, he had also been offered an oatmeal based homemade food that he found very tasty, in fact he liked it so much, that he woofed it down, he also ate too much as they had given him a large portion and poor stomach rebelled and he vomited almost as soon as he ate it. His “owners” figured that the oatmeal food had made him sicker and never gave it to him again, much to the dogs dismay. So … now thankfully since having an opportunity to really communicate his food preferences, things have gotten a little tastier around his house.

3.) Are you happy? is there anything that we could be doing for you that we are not already doing?

This is pretty straight forward, many times people will find themselves surprised by their “pets” response to the above question. In one case, I had a woman with three dogs, two of the dogs were medium sized breeds while one was a lap dog. The lap dog was as happy as could be. The two larger dogs told me that they were left out of many of the outings and then proceeded to describe the lake that the lap dog went to frequently, but that they were not permitted to go to. The “owner” was surprised to learn that her other dogs even knew about the place. Now that she understands that her other dogs were behaving poorly due to their being jealous of her lap dog and where that dog was allowed to go in comparison to her other dogs, she can rectify the situation.

4.) What is a favorite memory of our time together that you would like to share?

This one cat told me that his favorite memory was reuniting with his person … after a trip where they went east. I asked if she (the cat’s person) had gone back east, she said no. I then persisted and she confessed that they had a layover in New York on her flight to Africa, and that after spending time in quarantine her cat was finally able to reunite with her. She was staying with her folks in South Africa and the cat remarked that the bugs there were outstanding and that he loved the large yard that he played at at his persons parents house.

5.) Anything that you would ask a person, you can ask an animal … within reason of course. 🙂 Just like humans, just because you can talk with them … it does not guarantee that they will reciprocate or that they will even listen, sort of like some teenagers or children I know.

If you would like to schedule a reading to connect with the animals in your life, either past or present, visit www.charlespeden.com.

In some cases I actually hear words “audibly” but in most cases I see pictures or simply “know”. Today while doing a reading I simply dropped the middle name of one of the animals whom I was speaking with. I honestly do not know the exact way I came across her name, it just rolled off my tongue.  Many times I hear voices in my head, kind of like I am thinking something, but not my thoughts. Read my latest posting for more about how I receive information.
